Recently made famous by Riverdance, Irish dance is a centuries old tradition. It offers unrivalled mental and physical stimulation through its demanding movements and complicated rhythms. Classes and performances are charged with fun, catchy Celtic music that accompanies dancers through steps that range from beautiful and graceful soft shoe to rousing, rhythm-filled hardshoe.
Sugar Creek Irish Dance brings this fascinating dance form to Sugar Land Adults. If you’re a beginner – welcome! Irish dance is great for those with little or no dance experience and our instructors specialize in helping beginners master the basics quickly and easily. And if you have danced Irish or another genre in the past, this is a great place for you to get back in shape or challenge yourself with new and different steps.
Our goal here is to create a fun and social environment for our Adult students to kick up their heels, lose weight and make friends all at once. And, unlike droning away on the treadmill, to have acquired a sophisticated, enduring and cool skill in the meantime.
If you worry that Irish Dance is too hard – don’t! We’ve guided hundreds of students with all levels of physicality and age to find a comfortable way to enjoy this sensational dance form. Many Irish dance masters dance well into their 80’s and there’s no reason why you can’t join them!
